Cost: $5 campsite fee ,plus $0? troop grub fee
Dragon Patrol:Bryce, Nathan, Sam, Adam, Quinn, T.C.,Jason
Old Goat Patrol: Marcus, Steve, Bryan
Great weather, Great events, and lots of fun by
all. I knew we were going to do great in the dutch oven cooking
contest and was not supprised with 1st place. The pumpkin-pecan
cobbler had to be rewriten at the last min. when the 12in dutch
oven was misplaced and a 10" had to be used. It kinda
dripped out the top during cooking but several Dragons stood
watch and licked of the sides before it leaked on the coals.
Dragon patrol also took 2nd place in the gateway contest. I was
supprised that the 1:06 time on the fire starting contest didn't
also win, I guess the other troops were realy supper fast. P.S.
the next time I ask for a fire to be started , I now know it only
takes you a little more than one min. to do it.
Patrol Events:
Dry River rescue/knot tie
Navigate to safe haven/estimation of 100 feet
Acid rain/build a shelter
Saving you scoutmaster/knowledge of proper CPR
Nuclear winter/flint and steel fire starting
Friction Bridge/build a bridge without lashing
Supply drop/sling shot competion one shot for distance,
and one for accuracy
Troop Events:
Scout Jeopardy/two scouts from each troop play
Return to base/obstacies and compass course
Dutch oven cooking/ one entry per troop Dragon Patrol took 1st Place
Patrol flag competition/ must include patrol
name and troop number
Trivia/scout and general knowledge
Gate way/Dragon Patrol
took 2nd Place
